All my life I have been geared towards being in the outdoors. As a kid I would spend the majority of my time playing tag or getting lost in the woods. Fast forward a couple years, I attended college, gained a Bachelors in Environmental Biology, and now work Full-Time as a Environmental Scientist in Massachusetts. Since graduating, I have began taking a camera on my adventures to try and preserve experiences. Photos are a great way to retain memories of the experience but also the state of our environment at those times. A mountain summit will never be the same twice. Conditions vary from minute to minute, season to season, and year to year.
For me it is a way to enjoy the moment and give me more reason to wake up or stay out late in nature. The moments of standing on a summit watching the sun fade beyond the horizon or seeing the first glimpses of sunlight in the early morning on a beach are truly breathtaking. Taking those feelings, the moment, and attempting to freeze them into a photo is truly a challenge, and the main reason why I try to capture the moment. It is what truly motivates me to get out and experience the world.
When I began, I was capturing images for me and sharing with family and friends. As I've grown in my photography I've had several people ask where they could buy these prints and while the concept was otherworldly, the compliment is immense. I hope that you enjoy what you see. Above all else I hope that it encourages you to get outside, explore the beautiful planet we all live on, and experience moments of your own.
